The vast majority of our rugs are crafted using natural yarn (wool). Wool's unique properties make it hard to understand why other yarns have been manufactured, especially when this is a sustainable natural resource. Once cleaned and carded, the yarn can easily be spun to produce a robust, durable, and practical material for weaving. Using traditional and ancient vegetable dying methods, striking colours can be produced to great effect.
